While searching for the same error message you posted about I found your post. The hardest part was first uninstalling the existing IE; the support person had me remove a bunch of keys from the registry. I appreciate any help getting this program to work. I can open my emails in Outlook Express, I can use the preview pane, everything seems to be as it should be again. I called Microsoft support (425-635-3311 for North American telephone support for Windows XP; the person I spoke to was very helpful and competent -- and patient!), and I ended up having Inbox, Outbox, Deleted Items, Drafts and Sent Items folders.
