Unfortunately, this happens during my original install of fedora 8 x86. I think mine was to do with package dependencies, or not having built the yum repository correctly with updated comps.xml. Well, there ya go. Once Linux is running I can put CDs into the drive and Linux does mount them - and I can browse the files on CD.
By the way, without the so-called RPM, everything is OK. If the error persists, please try another card. EDIT: I didn't at first realize that the error message gave me an option other than "Exit Installer," so I went back and unchecked the repo. The distro version is from http://downloads.freepbxdistro.org/ISO/FreePBX-Distro-Net-220.127.116.11.iso.
