Do these fixes apply to all Thinkpad models such as A31p etc, or just the 600E series? Sorry if I misled you Wingnut. Is there a jumper that can reset the password? Put her all back together and still the same error code. official site

It's an ugly screen but it works. I invertently went to RS and bought a battery but wasnt sure that that I could just replace it like that. I suspect that you can't, but am not 100% sure.

Yes, an out of time clock on your desktop can mean you have a virus, so it's worth doing a through scan, but in most cases it's a dying cmos battery.
