Now that we have moved to 10.6 we keep getting failures. I also agree that this is a fairly serious problem with ACLs that appears to have been introduced with OS X 10.6.0 which had what I'll call "linear" growth of unwarranted I have solved my copy issues for now. Users are reporting slow log in times on network log in accounts.
