I believe the rest of these steps are just good practice when trying to fix an issue such as this. I am at work attempting to connect to myaddress.dyndns.org:8079 via web browser with no luck. Go check System Information (its under Message and Settings on your TIVO) and I always find that the unit's name has reset with the message instructing me to go to Tivo.com To access this feature the television has to be on and have a picture or blue screen to read this fault menu .
