Comcast can't read their own cards in the TiVo. He had never seen a Tivo and I don't think he knows much about cable cards in general. my review here
I'm thinking I might have to send the HD Tivo box back to weaKnees and ask for a refund. First cable card I received was fine up until about two weeks ago. But if you do, it won't hurt. Swapping the cards (per Verizon tech support) didn't help either.Click to expand... find more info

Obviously, this is not a final fix. No problem they say. Does anyone have a good link with information that I can print out and fax to them? The 161-4 error kept popping up every couple of seconds.
Then I can finally play with my new toy!!! It is true, this is all new to the CSRs and technicians. My third tech said upfront he was not familiar with the cards and had never seen the Series 3 TiVo, but he had a great attitude. Get More Information No need to do that really.
I've requested mediacom to send out a more experienced tech who has actually done a tivo install but can't get that scheduled until next Sat. I was online trying to find some help and finally found the part about ignoring the 161-4 error so the last time he tried to continue to test channels. Got a third card a couple of days ago that worked for a bit, and now I'm starting to get the error again. When they came last weekend, I had already programmed the analog/antenna channels in and I have read some posts that indicate restoring to factory defaults (erasing/deleting) may be a good idea. I called TiVo and we had a three-way with another Comcast rep, but nothing they tried worked either. Now I think Roadrunner may not be sending signals after the initial setup. After 24 hrs with no change, I called Comcast and they said everything was programmed correctly on their end. So something is happening.
